For Mental Health Professionals & Pastoral Counselors

Are you a psychologist, therapist, addictions counselor, social worker, or faith-based counselor? Your skills can help bridge critical gaps in care. ​Your professional support makes culturally responsive, evidence-based care more accessible across communities.

 

🌿Ways to Get Involved:

  • Volunteer Your Expertise through short-term trips to Rwanda ​

    • 1-2 week service trips​ where you can provide:

      • 1:1 therapy, addictions counseling, or pastoral counseling

      • Lead Community Wellness Workshops (psychoeducational groups)

      • Lead Ubuntu Circles (group therapy)

      • Facilitate school based wellness initiatives

  • Educate & Equip

    • Help train our peer companions, speak at events, or contribute to our mental health programs, psychoeducational content, or intervention plans.

  • Join the Ubuntu Advisory Circle

    • Collaborate with us to shape ethical, inclusive, and culturally informed services.

  • Support Financially through the One Hour, One Heart Program

    • ​Embody Ubuntu through a commitment to supporting mental health availability everywhere.

🌿Ways to Get Involved:

     

  • Become a Peer Companion 

    • Volunteer for short-term 1-2 week service trips to Rwanda. ​We'll train you to listen well, hold space, and offer grounded, nonjudgmental support.​

  • Become a Translator

    • If you can speak and translate Kinyarwanda to English, volunteer for our short-term service trips to help spread mental health support to those in need.

  • Volunteer for Local Events

    • Help out with local Ubuntu Wellness activities and events. From organizing, sharing and participating. Everyone can get involved!

  • Be a Wellness Advocate

    • Share our movement, by liking, following, and sharing us on social media. 

  • Support Financially
    Every gift helps us expand outreach, offer training, and fund healing services for underserved communities.
